Booking is now open for the 2016 Hutters’ Rally. This year we’re coming to Fife – where many exciting new hutting plans are emerging, including our pilot hut site on Forestry Commission land.
The Rally takes place on Tuesday 10th May 2016, from 10am-5.30pm. There will be site visits in the morning for those who would like to see some potential hut sites and existing huts, then in the afternoon we’ll be at St Bryce’s Church in Kirkcaldy for a range of workshops, presentations and activities. The Hutters’ Rally will be chaired by broadcaster Lesley Riddoch, with a range of other expert contributors. It will be a great chance to meet like-minded people and progress your own hutting plans. Get your tickets here!
We’ll keep this website posted with the latest information and the draft programme.
The last 5 years have seen Reforesting Scotland’s Thousand Huts Campaign make huge leaps forward for new hutting in Scotland, including the recent launch of our new planning guidance for huts and the Scottish Government’s proposals on possible exemptions for huts from building regulations. It’s time to celebrate the changes in the planning system, and to develop plans for turning policy change into new huts and hut sites.
Associated event – Lloyd Kahn’s talk – hurry, tickets are selling fast!
